The Regional Technology Innovation Awards exist to acknowledge and support innovators and their organisations working with some of the most demanding and unique Information Technology challenges in the country.

Challenges faced by Information Technology professionals in regional and rural parts of Australia are simply unlike, and in many cases, polar opposite to those faced in urban areas.

Flood, fire, extreme temperatures, and frequent natural events, coupled with vast remoteness and large uninhabited distances make up the daily lives of many people working in the regional IT industry.

As fellows working in remote IT, our network knows all too well that recognition and promotion for delivering innovative solutions and positive social outcomes can be extremely hard to come by, especially when there simply aren’t enough local resources to connect with.

Our goal is to create and foster a network of like-minded regional technologists, in order to connect people with similar challenges, and recognise and promote the great work occurring every day in the regional IT industry. We aim to achieve this with frequent networking events, catch-ups, social media boards, and of course, the annual Regional Technology Innovation Awards.
