Save the date!
The 2021 Regional Technology Innovation Awards will be held at 6:30pm on the 2nd December at St Philip’s College, Alice Springs.
Please register to attend as soon as possible using the button below – this helps significantly with planning an awesome night for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you to everyone so far who has nominated their team, organisation, peers, or friends for an award.
We might need a new category for most nominations?
A record breaking five nominations has been submitted by a single person this year, so it’s looking like the trophies are going to be highly contested!
There’s merch in town!
Watch out for Lloyd and Sam sneaking into your office… they’ve been busy interviewing nominees and sneak peaks won’t be far away.
Oops.
Thanks also to those who reached out with ideas for new categories – there was one resounding winner…
A 2021 premiere, your new awards category is ‘Most Spectacular IT Fails’.
Tell us your best IT Fail stories from users, vendors, rogue admins, backhoes, weather, animals, or even that accidental ‘click’.
The Regional Technology Innovation Awards exist to acknowledge and represent the divergent, ingenious, and straight up ludicrous solutions produced on a daily basis by Australia’s regional technologists.
You can nominate yourself, your team, organisation, peers, or friends to bring home a coveted RTIA trophy.
This year’s final award categories are…
- ‘It’ll only take ten minutes…’ award – we feel this one is self explanatory
- ‘Reverse engineering’ award – for ‘creative’ and unorthodox application of any technology
- ‘Customer service’ award – for consistently outstanding tech support
- ‘IoT central’ award – what have you wired up this year?
- ‘Complex made simple’ award – for the brightest and most complex fluff removal
- ‘Longest trip for nothing’ award – back by popular demand, how far have you gone unknowingly pursuing futility?
- ‘IT Fails’ award – what simply didn’t go to plan?
There’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes to make a great night, and we can’t wait to see you there.
Stay tuned for more.
